Colouring in does more for us than waste some time. It allows us to be present by being focused on a task so is a form of meditation.
It can activate our creativity (by choosing colours, shading, pen/pencil pressure) and our logical thinking because we need to stay within the lines and pattern. This can help us get into a flow state which could be incredibly useful before or after an intense task.
